Remember back in the day when your mommy would pick out your gear so you could go out and play. Yeah that was cute when you were 6 years old. The only problem with that is you looked like your mommy dressed you(not a good thing by the way) but it was cool cause when you were six years old 6. But guess what you are now a grown ass man and looking like your mom dressed is weird man and kinda creepy. If your girlfriend or wife is picking put your gear for you, it is basically the same thing sorry man, but somebody had to tell you…
If she is buying your clothes than she is dressing you for her preference not yours, and that preference is to show you off so you’re most likely going to wind up in all kinds of gear you would never wear on your own. That slightly off feeling you’re having will be quite evident by the way, and your boys are going to be wondering what the hell is wrong with you all night. Not feeling comfortable in your clothes is a big fashion misstep. The next time Becky at your local coffee shop compliments you on your gear and she smiles and asks, “does your girl friend dress you?” with a wink. You are going to have to answer yes. Immediately eliminating any and all respect and interest she had in you. Now you’re just random annoying coffee guy (whose girlfriend dresses him) instead of 2 creams 2 sugars damn he looks good guy. Add to your humiliation that any real guy within earshot of that convo will definitely judge you and not in a good way. All the time she is picking your gear, you could be learning how to dress yourself, figure our your style. Not to mention time lost hanging with me your friendly neighborhood stylist. And what happens if you break up and it is your fault, and lets face it, it’s always your fault, she is going to be upset and most likely trash the gear she brought you. Now you’re out of gear and you don’t know how to pick out new gear cause of all the reasons above. Why not avoid all this and just start working with me now. You will learn your own style, you will look great, and your girlfriend and Becky at the coffee shop will be very impressed.

2/2/2017 1 Comment My new Suit !!!Fellas,
Check out the latest excellent suit I just purchased from Banana Republic. Man, I love this suit! First of all the style is perfect. It is your basic 2 button single breast 2-piece suit. It’s dark gray pattern with a window pain texture that is accented by light gray and black lines. The suit is a great because it allows me all kinds of flexibility. I can fancy it up with a nice purple shirt like the one in my latest IG pic, purple not your color? Cool you can just as easily add some pop with a pink, blue or even a subtle read or maroon colored shirt, the really cool thing is this suit easily allows for the shirt to have a pattern or not you will look really great either way. But … wait for it … you can also conservative up this suit rather than a colored shirt, instead go with a plain-jane white or your basic (I work in a bank) blue shirt. You know you have one. The suit looks great with a tie or no tie too. I know, I know your asking what about the fit man isn’t that part of looking great ? Ok you got me, yeah the suit has to fit no getting around that but that doesn’t have to mean a bespoke suit for $2500.00. Look, I’m definitely not the slimiest dude in the world, so I ordered a 46 jacket and a 40 pants. Jacket fit was dead on but the pants were a big, so I took them to my dry cleaners and she took them in an inch or so in the waist and took care of the length too. Bam! Perfect pants and jacket, twenty more bones; So worth it. So with this suit, purchased for less than 300 bones, I basically get a 4 different potential looks. That is awesome flexibility and amazing value. Now, I probably will not wear this suit to a job interview, or a wedding where I want to look immaculate. But it is a great utility suit, well made, it affords me a ton of flexibility and it was a great price. This is the way you build a nice affordable wardrobe, that looks great and still impresses, and the money you saved you can spend on shoes, never enough shoes. What do you all think ? |
